1222 meters above the ocean you will find Hotel 1222. The hotel was originally named Finse Fjellstue (Finse Mountain Cabin) and was built for the opening of the Bergen-Oslo Railway in 1909. The cabin was meant to function as a rescue station for snowed-in trains during winter. However, Finse Fjellstue was soon converted into a six star hotel, and in 1980 the hotel underwent a program of total restoration and changed its name to Finse 1222.
Let's not forget the year of 1980, when the Empire invaded Finse. During this snowy winter, the cast and crew of "Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back" lived in this hotel.
Who knows, you might live in the same room as Harrison Ford or Mark Hamill!
